What is the Profit Initiative?

The Birmingham Small Business Profit Initiative was started by Brad Koch with 4Sight. As a business coach, Brad interacts with many small businesses. Too often he has seen the results of a business owner who just didn't know how to run a business. And never looked for help.

Many of them burn down slowly and painfully. The lucky ones have an abrupt end. Since relocating to Birmingham Brad has coached a variety of businesses. Each with slightly different challenges.

In order to reach more local businesses, Brad needed to find a way to elevate the problem in the community.

There are state and federal programs that can help a business starting out. Fast forward 2 or 3 years, the business still needs help. But the type of help the business needs, isn't part of those programs. There isn't support specifically on how to generate and grow profit. 

Profit fuels innovation. Profit fuels growth. The small business desperately needs help generating profit.
